there is a dry old original finish on this example which is now only a timepiece. Whatever was on the bottom of this case (time punch unit?) looks to have been cut off and a board attached to cover the space. Twin-spring movement was made by Seth Thomas. Painted dial has only a bit of toning and flaking. The two little top finials are absent. Note the built-in level for setting beat. Ht 23"
