McLachlan, Glasgow, Scotland, tall clock, 8 day, time and bell strike, weight driven movement in a mahogany case with flat top hood and painted iron dial with portraits of women from the different domains of Great Britain surmounted by Queen Victoria in the arch, c1850 the case has a nice old finish with a repair to the top rear left and middle right of the hood. The upper rear left side of trunk was restored and the feet and bottom board are replacements. The dial is in good condition with the exception of one dial foot absent at upper left and a couple of small flakes. The movement has a replaced seat board and replaced risers and needs service. The pendulum is a replacement. Ht 82 1/2"
