Ansonia Clock Co., New York, NY, "Crystal Palace No. 1 Extra", walnut base and back mounted with silvered figures of a fisherman and a hunter, flanking a central mirror, paper Roman numeral dial with blued steel hands, surrounded by a fancy lacquered cast brass bezel, eight day time and strike movement with Davies patent style pendulum, under a glass dome, c. 1880 Wooden parts of case with an old finish, base cleaned and with one minor ding at front right, figures retain their silvered finishes under gold over paint paper dial with foxing, hands oxidized, bezel dirty and with some gold over paint it appears that the original surface may survive beneath, mirror with spotting, pendulum with spotting and losses to plating on cylinders, dome may be original Ht 17 3/4"
