Mahogany and mahogany veneered case in nice condition in original finish with a small veneer chip on the bottom door. There is a repair to a cracked area on the head. Bottom tablet looks to be an old replacement. Throat glass looks to be original. Original painted dial has age darkened with some loss at the mounting pins, The dial is signed Hatch, but this timepiece is more typical of the those produced by Horace Tifft. An example can be found on Page 169 of Paul Foley's book on Willard's Patent Time Pieces". Hands and weight are original. Ht 33.75"
