James Muirhead, Glasgow, Scotland tall clock, 8 day, time and strike, weight driven movement with painted metal pendulum in a mahogany veneer case with brass silvered metal round dial, showing seconds below 12 and simple calendar above the 6, c1830 the case retains a very old finish with minor veneer loss on top left return molding on hood and several small areas on trunk and base. There is veneer replacement on the rear section of base and a repair on lower left hand corner of door. There is a return molding of upper left side of trunk absent. The dial is discolored and should be resilvered. The movement needs to be cleaned and serviced. Movement /dial are original to the case. Ht 84"
