Scottish tall clock, 8 day, time and bell strike, weight driven movement in a mahogany and mahogany veneer case with sting inlay around the door and plinth, reticulated inlay in the broken arch of the hood, reeded columns on hood and reeded half columns on the trunk and painted iron dial depicting seasons in the spandrels, c1830 the case has a great older finish with 40% of reticulated inlay absent from top right ride. The applied bracket base is an older replacement. The movement needs cleaning and service. The dial is in excellent condition with second's hand absent. The top finials and rosettes are a replacement. Ht 87"
