Erste Karlsteiner Uhren Industrie, Karlstein, Austria, "Vienna Regulator" of second Baroque period, 8 day, time and Grande Sonnerie strike, three weight driven movement in a walnut case with applied carvings and engraving and finely cutout and engraved brass dial surround and center mounted on silvered chapter ring, brass weights and pendulum also engraved, c1885 the case retains its original finish, nicely rubbed down. There is a small piece of applied carving on the upper right section of door. The movement and case are of the same period but not original to one another, and make for an outstanding presentation nonetheless. Ht 52 1/2"
