Birge and Fuller, Bristol, Conn., 8 day, time and strike wagon spring steeple on frame with candle finials shelf clock, c1845 Mahogany veneered case in an old finish with some veneer chips on the base corner, just above the bottom door, door knob, and at the back of the top. The candle finials though nice look to be modern replacements. Original painted dial has some wear and loss at the mounting screws and pins. Someone put a coating of what looks like shellac on the dial and left drips and excess shellac to accumulate on the bottom edge. Hour hand looks to original. Minute hand is a replacement. Both glasses are period. Ht 26"
