Charles Babbitt, Taunton, Mass., "Shelf Banjo" clock, 8 day, time only weight driven movement in a mahogany case with bird's eye maple panels in hinged throat door and base and painted metal dial, c1820 the case is in excellent condition with an old refinish and a crack in the wooden bezel. The dial is original with significant wear, however the signature is still legible. Ht 39 1/2"
