French Lyre form mantel clock, Japy Freres 8 days, time and strike, pendule a Paris movement counting the hours on a bell and with a single blow at the half hour, gray marble case with gilt bronze ornament, signed white enamel dial with blue Roman numerals and Arabic outer five minute markers, gilt Louis XV style hands, all mounted to a later, gilt tripod base, c1880 Clock has had a few alterations over the years, the gilt mask at the top of the lyre is added, the tripod base is also a later feature, marble good with minor flakes, the dial is good with a hairline at 12, the signature is faint, and not readable, hands are very good, ticks and strikes, Ht 23.5"
