the ornate classical case retains its French bronze finish, but the rear door is a poor replacement. The white porcelain dial, signed by New York retailer Mitchell Vance & Co., has small chips around the winding holes. The hands are mismatched replacements that are a bit too big. The thick beveled glass is fine. The signed round French-style movement has count wheel and bell strike. Of note: although Mitchel Vance & Co. retailed some of these cast figural clocks, they actually performed all of the casting for S.T. Sons & Co models. Ht 15"
