Chelsea Clock Co., Boston, Mass., brass on mahogany base 6" dial screw bezels marine set; 8 days, ship's bells "Port of Boston" clock; matching French barometer/thermometer; 1929

the lacquered brass is still in very nice condition, and the silvered dials are about perfect. The shaped solid mahogany cradles were custom made, with thin brass base plates for stability. The barometer glass is cracked but easily replaced. The clock movement is number 195145, but a second lower number also is stamped on the back of the clock case, and the dial has the side cutout (not visible) for a hinged bezel latch, so this may be an early recase. Ht of cradle is 8.5"
