we find this bugler in Ly's illustrations of ornaments and figures, but not this or any other figural clock in a wood case (all others are cast metal), so this is a rare piece. The original finish on the wood and statue have just minor blemishes and wear. Approximately a fourth of the wood on the top urn base has broken away and is absent. The brass dial, beaded bezel, and beveled glass all are good; the pallets are steel. The signed movement needs a pendulum. Ht 18"
