there is an old patina on the heavy ornate metal case. The patterned silvered dial has some tarnish, especially by the 8. The beaded bezel and thick beveled glass are fine. The bell-strike count wheel movement, Japy Freres Gnd. Med. D'Honneur, needs a pendulum. Ht 17"
