the original upper time only, movement has been replaced with a Welch, 8 days, time and strike, movement commonly found in the "Verdi" model. To accommodate this new movement two extra holes have been punched through the original dial and some alterations have been made to the interior of the case. The original stepped bezel has been replaced with a combination of a flat wooden bezel and a painted sheet metal strip that surrounds the backboard. The time and strike, movement is functional and is attached to the Gale calendar mechanism which appears complete. Diameter 28"
