Werner, Germany, 8 days, time and strike, spring driven R/A wood wall clock with large bell below, Asian letters on dial, c1890 this fancy and unusual dark stained case, with original old surface, may have been custom-fit with its lower components and big bell, perhaps for an Asian customer whose name may be on the white porcelain dial. The movement has the Werner horseshoe trademark, but the connection to the bell looks home-made. The gridiron pendulum and beat scale have good celluloid prints. Ht 36"
