this large rare model , "Unknown No. 47", appears in the addendum section of Ly's new Welch book, page 500, showing the example we sold back in May, 2005. This one has an old finish, retains its flock paper on the inside backboard and has its gilt pendulum rod. The dial has been repainted and the weights may not be original but are the correct size. Both glasses appear newer. The movement, on its old seat board is unsigned but matches the photo. The pendulum tie-down and hands are home-made. Ht 39"
