this rare model is described on Ly page 418, noting the oxidized silver and gilt. This example retains its original paper dial with some blemishes, but no bezel or glass. The animation movement, mounted in the base, has a duplex (double toothed) escape wheel which impulses the "prisms" of the lighthouse lantern which act as the balance and turn briskly back and forth. The clock itself is a separate insert, removed and wound from its rear. The Ly illustration shows a top spire and flag, not present here. Ht 10.75"
