we find a William Draper, Maldon, listed in Baillie, but this maker's signature appears to be abbreviated John or Jonathan. The brass posted movement, with recoil anchor escapement, top bell, rear count wheel, and weight hanging from a chain, appears to be in nice original condition. The dial, also in nice condition, has a silvered chapter ring and top boss, fancy cast spandrels, and textured center. The old stained pine case has a good later finish, and the glass is new. Ht of case 33"
