English, attributed to Elliott and retailed by J.E. Caldwell, mahogany 8 days, time and strike, weight-driven long case clock, c1900 there is a lot of potential in this substantial high-quality clock. The slender inlaid solid mahogany case has a nice old finish, but is missing its two side moldings on the base and some of the string inlay, and the bonnet door knob is absent. The brass weight shells are tarnished, the pendulum may be missing its brass cover, and the ornate dial is good, with the Philadelphia jeweler's name, but its moon dial has lost a lot of its paint. The movement has thick plates and well-polished wheels, with maintaining power on the time barrel. Ht 81"
