Ansonia Clock Co., Ansonia, Conn., "Crystal Palace No. 1 Extra", 8 day, time and strike, spring driven mantel clock. This clock was patented by H. J. Davies c1875 Walnut base some wear in original finish. Original paper dial is pretty clean with some minor staining. Hands are original. Statues have lost some of their gold plating have what looks to be brass polish residue. This model can be seen in Ly's Ansonia book {2nd ed. page 93, and features statues with marine theme, an oarsman and a female grappler. Movement retains original Geneva stops. Ht 18"
