Atkins, Bristol, Conn., 8 day, time and strike wood movement carved column and crest shelf clock, c1832 Mahogany veneered case in an old finish with some veneer repairs on the bottom door and chip on the cross strip just below the top door. Original painted dial has darkened a little, but is in otherwise nice condition. Hands are original. Bottom tablet is a replacement. Rear feet maybe a replacement. Dark but readable label inside the case. Note unusual 8-day wood movement with reverse trains (strike on right, time on left) which this firm used. Ht 40"
