the movement's trademark was registered to the French company, Japy Freres, in Austria in 1903, so we are assuming that the case maker decided to use a Japy movement in this clock since all appears original and the same trademark is on the movement bracket. The painted metal dial has the 24-hour markers. The carved and turned case has a nice old patina with no noticeable damage or losses. Ht
