the original surface has some small scratches and veneer lifting and losses, but the elaborate carvings and turnings are fine. The beveled glass is thick; the lacquered brass dial, with applied spandrels and chapter ring. is slightly tarnished. The three spring movement has a chime shut-off feature through the case side, but its lever now is too short (still functions). Ht 19"
