Pleister, 277 Regent St., London, giant carriage clock with perpetual calendar, large 8 day, two train fusee movement, gilt platform with spring detent escapement and free sprung cut bimetallic chronometer balance with blued helical spring, counting the hours on a large gong and with a single blow at the half hour, the back plate with small aperture for viewing seconds disk attached to contrate wheel arbor, silvered dial with gilt mask signed "Dent London", the day of the week, month, and date displayed on 3 small dials arranged above the time dial, blued steel Breguet style hands, narrow blued steel hands for the calendar functions, all contained in a polished, gilt brass case with carrying handle, with thick, beveled glass panels, Ht. 14 1/4" to top of handle, c1870 Case polished and regilded, minor marks and scratches, minor casting flaws, good glasses, dial and mask replaced and with spurious signature, hands may also be replaced, running well and striking correctly, calendar working
