there is an old patina on the heavy brass, the signed black dial has darkened a bit, and the hands are discolored. The bulkhead mount plate is absent, perhaps explained by the rear handwritten sticker "Scott Wayland took from baby flat-top "Saginaw" in N.Y. harbor 1945 where it was towed before salvage after taking a kamikazi attack". Movement 287062 ticks briskly, with rear winding, setting, and seconds hacking holes protected by a sliding cover. Largest diameter 5.75"
