this case, in less common cherry, has been nicely refinished, but has a well-matched replaced curved "bowtie" above the lower door. The painted metal dial has slight flaking only at the edges, the wood strip behind it is absent (not important). The glasses are wavy. The brass pendulum disk has old lacquered surfaces with a few small dents, and its painted wood stick is fine. The March, 1897, inked date is on the back. Nice beat scale; the weight is absent. Ht 36"
