Mahogany and gilt case in as found condition in original finish. The finish on the top of the gilding has aged and turned dark making it hard to tell if there is much of the original gilding intact. Original painted dial is soiled with some minor loss at the mounting pins. There is enough of the signature to see the maker's name. The throat glass is original. The bottom glass is old, but is most likely not original. Weight brass movement is mounted to the case with a center screw. The hands are old but a little short and so may not be original. The case and the doors are stamped: "941". Finial is missing. The bottom loose and needs to be glued back on. Ht 30"
