Spencer, Hotchkiss and Co., Salem Bridge, Conn., 8 day, time and strike weight brass movement double decker shelf clock, c1835 Refinished mahogany veneered case in nice condition with some minor loss on the bottom front edge and a veneer repair on the top front edge and just above the door. Original painted dial with some inpainting in a couple of places on the gilt chapter ring. Tablet is replacement on old glass. Faux graining appears to have been redone. Hour and minute ands are original. Seconds hand looks to be a replacement. Clean label inside the case. Ht 32.25"
