Peter Klok is recorded working at Amsterdam 1750-80, and the floating lady or 4-season spandrels are commonly used about 1750 -1760, but rarely later. It is still a question why the dial's arched section was made separately and attached to the square dial below, however there is no evidence of re-work, and the pinned and bent brackets appear to have been there for over 200 years. The case has been refinished at some time, and some minor loose joints need attention. Lower left of dial is bent; can be straightened. Interesting penny moon shows the elapsed days for the phase in two bands below the circular opening. Ht 100"
