Robert Strang., Alloa., Scotland, tall clock, 8 days, time and gong strike, weight driven movement in a mahogany and crotch mahogany fluted hollow column case with round head, flower petal feet, foliate fretwork and painted round iron dial, c1840 the clock is in very good original condition with two minor veneer chips, one on lower left side of column and one on lower right side of hood. The movement was probably a bell strike, now converted to gong strike. The dial is in excellent condition. The pendulum bob is absent. The weights are period. Ht 88"
