English tall clock, 8 days, time, calendar and strike, weight driven brass movement in a mahogany and crotch mahogany inlaid case with high bracket feet and rope turned columns flanking hood and painted iron dial, c1820 the case has an old finish. The cross hatched inlay surrounds the crotch mahogany veneer on trunk door and plinth. The trunk door is slightly warped and there is some veneer lifting. The finials are replacements. The dial is in very good condition, but the maker's signature is illegible and the pendulum iron bob is period and nicely painted. Ht 88"
