E. Howard & Co., Boston, Mass., "No. 71 Regulator" wall clock, 8 days, time only, weight driven movement in a black walnut case with painted metal dial, c1875 the case retains its excellent original finish. The dial has original paint with some touch up and typical flaking at mounting screws and numeral 30 on second's bit. There is an additional undersized hole below original mounting screw hole under right side of dial. There is a clean split to lower portion of dial surround that could be easily repaired. The weight baffle is nicely burled throughout. The nicely damascened pendulum bob has been polished from nickel to brass. This a nice example of this extremely rare model. (note smaller clocks of this design were designated as model 59, while the full size version was assigned its' own model number). Ht 70"
