the case and dial have been nicely restored, and the hands are repainted. The heavy brass works, with recoil escapement, are clean, and the long case pendulum is old. Walker-Finnemore, Birmingham, is cast into the dial false plate, and there are many repair notes and dates on the back of the dial. The maker, James Bennett, was born in 1760. Ht
