this clock is a rare combination of moving eyes, in a large feline, and cuckoo, made for the Asian market. The surface and paint are old, with some flaking, and the cat is well drawn. The porcelain dial has some hairlines. The cast plate movement has the PHS running hare trademark, and the bellows will need renewal. The carved wood bird is detached and not original, and its little door is absent. More information is in Justin Miller's important 2012 book "Rare and Unusual Black Forest Clocks". Ht 14.5"
