Ansonia Clock Co., New York, "Symbol Extra" silver plated stamped brass and beveled glass 8 day time and strike mantel clock, visible escapement, c1894 the silver plate has some tarnish, and the brass has some stress cracks on three of its feet, with solder repairs to them from behind. The front door needs some attention to close properly. The white enamel dial is fine, and two of the glasses, with extra wide bevels, has a tiny corner chip. The fancy hands and pendulum are fine; the gong stand also needs some polish. The signed movement has nickel plated plates and spring barrels; the pallets are steel bars. Ht 15.5"
