Welch, Forestville, Conn.walnut kitchen mantel clock (unidentified model) with 8 days, time/strike/alarm movement, c1890. The Jerome & Co. clock has a case of rosewood and walnut veneers. The case has been stripped. The original painted dial has a small paint loss at the winding arbor. The hands may be replacements. The case has a nice Gutta Percha insert. Ht 14.5". The E.N. Welch clock has a refinished walnut case with one of the fluted pieces on the top missing. The paper dial has in good condition with slight discoloration. One of the hands may be a later replacement. The original glass has a nice stencil. Ht 24.5"
