The JJ Beals steeple clock has a refinished rosewood case with some veneer chips. The movement is marked J. C. Brown, Forestville, Conn. The alarm trip mechanism on the movement appears to have been replaced. The bottom movement support block has been modified. The door has an original frosted glass tablet. The original painted dial shows paint loss along the edges. The hands are original. Ht 19.5". The Chauncey Jerome clock has a nicely finished mahogany veneer case. There are several chips along the top edge. The original painted dial shows loss at the winding arbors. The hands are original. The colorful glass tablet is original with several small areas of paint loss. Ht 26".
