Atkins, Bristol, Conn., steeple or "Sharp Gothic" mantel clock, 8 days, time and strike, spring driven brass fusee movement in a mahogany veneer case with painted metal dial and silk screened tablet, c1848 the case retains an old finish with several veneer patches. The top dial has been clear coated and has turned yellow. The original tablet with paddlewheel steamship has minor flaking and the hands are period but not correct style. Ht 20"
