Terry & Sons, Plymouth, Conn., 30 hour, time and strike, weight wood movement pillar & scroll shelf clock, c1829 Mahogany and mahogany veneered case with a repair to the left scroll tip and a poor veneer patch and minor damage on one of the skirt tips. The right side molding will need to be glued back in place. The left side return needs to be reglued. Original painted dial has darkened from what appears to be an application of shellac along with some minor paint loss and damage to the number 5. Hands are original. Tablet is a replacement. Someone has painted the weight channels with black paint. Key escutcheon is missing. Readable but stained label inside the case. There are no finials. Ht 27.5"
