English, 8 days, time and strike, fusee brass movement mahogany with brass inlay wall or tavern clock, c1860 Mahogany veneered case with loss of some of the brass inlay on the curved bottom, veneer repairs on the bottom edge, some loss on the flat strip above the bottom door, a veneer blister near the right side piece and a stress crack on the left. The turned mahogany bezel has suffered three shrinkage cracks. Original painted dial is rather nice for its age with some minor loss on the edges. Unusual hands look to be original. The pendulum bob is not original, but new ones are available. Nicely made heavy plate cable drive fusee time and bell strike movement. Ht 28.5"
