Rosewood veneered case in an old finish with some minor flakes on the base. Original painted dial has had the numbers strengthened with some paint repairs at the corners. Gilt columns with wear and loss. Tablet appears to be original. Hands are original. Nice label inside the case. This model is usually found with the label S. C. Spring & Co., Bristol, CT, but apparently this was one of a few produced soon after Welch & Spring joined partnership in 1868. Ht 30.25"
