Refinished mahogany veneered case with some minor loss on the base. Painted wood dial looks to be original, but is cracked across the center with horizontal crazing of the paint, a heavy layer of varnish on both sides and the two stretchers replaced. Hands, bottom tablet and stenciling on the columns are original. The mirror is period, but is most likely a replacement. Bone escutcheon on the door is missing. Nice label inside the case. Has unique movement designed by Heisley. Label notes "Warranted by C. Eaton". Cyrus Eaton was a clock dealer/peddler. Ht 40"
