Abiel Chandler, Concord, New Hampshire, 8 days, time and rat-trap strike New Hampshire mirror clock, c1829
Anonymous (not verified)
24 October 2024
Mahogany and mahogany veneered case in very nice condition in an old and possibly original finish with a couple veneer chips on the bottom. Nice gilding on the mirror columns. Period painted dial is not original and most likely came from a banjo clock. The top glass with significant loss is most likely a replacement as there is evidence of old putty in the frame. Mirror is missing. Original pendulum bob and pulley. No weights. There may have been a finial originally as there is a hole in the top scroll. Ht 32.75"
