Eli Terry, Plymouth, Conn., 30 hours, time & strike weight wood movement pillar & scroll shelf clock, c1823 Mahogany veneered case in an old finish with shrinkage and age splitting of the veneer on the scrolls. Scrolls have been repaired. There is some lifting of the veneer at the top of the door. Right top column capital is missing. Feet and skirt are replacements. Painted dial has some wear to the chapter ring. Bottom tablet is cracked and a later replacement. The wood movement is not original as it has been modified to work in this case. Period hands. Nice set of period finials. Clean label inside the case. Ht 30"
