The clock has a very attractive mahogany case which has been refinished. The movement is signed and the hands are original. The dial is original with minor paint loss at the screw holes. The top glass and bottom glass both appear to be original with the bottom glass showing some lifting and flaking. There is a nice label inside the case. Yet another example of this scarce model similar to the one shown in Bailey's "Chauncey Jerome NAWCC Supplement No. 15", pages 70-71. It appears the brass bushed movement is German silver which Jerome used on a very few clocks in the early 1840's. Ht 20.75"
