French gilt and patinated bronze mantel clock, base with scrolls and Adamesque vines, corner pilasters with fancy capitals, female mask above dial, squirrel, compote with fruit, and bird in frieze, acanthus leaf cornice, and top with stepped plinth, case sides with niches containing urns, base and top each with 2 patinated putti, the lower figures bearing swags of fruit, Roman numerals on ceramic cartouches mounted to gilt dial, blued steel hands, 8 days, time and strike, Pendule a Paris movement signed "Douillon", and "Christophle a Paris", c1850 gilt and patinated surfaces with minor wear and loss, base of clock, lower putti, swags and bezel with verdigris, some areas heavily encrusted, right figure on top of clock with missing element, plinth at top of case loose, top with scratch, dial regilt, some cartouches with minor chips and flakes, both hands with oxidation, minute hand replaced, movement ticks and strikes, minor spotting and tarnish, would benefit from service, pendulum repaired, Ht 17 1/2"
