Ansonia Brass Co., Ansonia, Conn., 8 days, time and strike, mahogany giant round gothic or beehive shelf clock, c1855 Mahogany veneered case in original finish with some loss on the base, the curved molding in a couple of places, and a shrinkage crack on the dial door. There is some damage on the top back edge of the case. Original painted dial with some stains, and loss on the outer edge. Dial mask has a shrinkage crack. Period hands and most likely original. Mirror is old and possibly original. Movement is signed. Nice label inside the case. This huge beehive is a very rare model, Ht 29.5"
