Chauncey Jerome, Bristol, Conn., OG mantel clock, 8 days, time only, weight driven movement in a standard size 30 hours, OG mahogany veneer case with painted wooden dial and reverse painted tablet, c1838 the case has an old finish with veneer damage at the corners. The original lower glass has some flaking. The dial has a very old touch up to chapter ring and numerals. The unique 8 days duration movement runs on a standard 30 hours, weight. The label has minor abrasion and a period overpaste stating in cursive "Eight Day Time Pieces". The dial and movement both have strong Jerome stamps.
