the case front, top glass and dial are in untouched original condition. The case housing the movement and dial has been repainted black. This movement does not have the typical NH wheelbarrow plates, they are rectangular and made of iron. The movement is fastened with fillister screws with nuts on the backboard. The keystone on the pendulum is very distinctive with a cutout on the inside lower left corner. Please see Charles Parsons' "New Hampshire Clocks & Clockmakers" page 195 for this specific clock. Additionally, this actual clock was illustrated on p. 43 in the book "Clocks" written by Doug Shaffer for the Smithsonian Illustrated Library of Antiques, 1980 Ht 30"
